After a busy weekend of travel and exploration, I spent the start of the week regrouping and preparing for an important milestone. My first lecture at the Faculty of Education was approaching, and the days were filled with quiet focus, planning, and anticipation. When the morning finally arrived, clear skies revealed mountain views that had been hidden since my arrival. Meeting students who were eager to learn about autism felt both energizing and affirming, marking a meaningful step in my Fulbright experience.

Daily walks continued to anchor my routine. Even rainy mornings at the castle carried signs of change as early spring flowers began to appear. Coffee with family offered a comforting connection to home, while navigating local bureaucracy to secure my temporary residence certificate brought a strong sense of accomplishment. Small personal moments, like visiting a local nail technician and sharing stories across cultures, highlighted the warmth and resilience of the people I am meeting here.

By the weekend, it was time for another adventure. I traveled to Kranjska Gora to cross country ski in the Julian Alps, embracing both the beauty of the landscape and the unpredictability of travel. A missed bus stop turned into a minor detour rather than a setback. Skiing near Planica Nordic Center, surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery and Olympic level ski jumps, was unforgettable. The trip ended with simple pleasures such as pizza, local conversation, and a quiet return journey to Ljubljana.

This week balanced preparation, professional milestones, cultural connection, and physical adventure. Each experience added another layer of confidence and belonging, reinforcing that life here is becoming both purposeful and richly lived.
